Japan photos, Flickr, and RSS

December 3, 2004

BoingBoing links to an interesting Flickr gallery of images from Japan.

If you aren’t familiar with Flickr, you owe it to yourself to check it out. Its a public image sharing site with an interesting twist- it allows you to tag your photos with keywords, a la the pioneering del.icio.us. This allows you to search for things like Kyoto and Tokyo.

An interesting use of these tags is the RSS 2.0 or Atom feeds Flickr provides for each tag. Stuff one of these feeds in your favorite reader, and sit back and watch the photos roll in.
